Tuvalu

Tuvalu is a tiny island located in one of the many atolls of Micronesia. Tuvalu has a population of about 7000, and the highest point of the island is only 10 ft above sea-level. The island is destined to disappear submerged by the sea in the very near future. Tuvalu financed its entry into the United Nations, indispensable to guarantee the evacuation and reconstruction on another island, through the sale in 1998 of the internet domain assigned to the country (its a sovereign country - the third smallest nation after the Vatican City and San Marino, both located on Italian territory). You will no doubt have seen websites with the .tv domain. This is my tribute to a tiny piece of this earth destined to disappear forever.

 

Tuvalu measures 55cm (21.66") with an inner diameter of 49cm (19.29").

The main portion of the necklace is approximately 2.5cm (0.98") wide, excluding the pendant. The pendant measures 10cm (3.94") in length to the bottom of the shell, and 2.5cm (0.98") at its widest point.
